The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is pleased to announce two new additions to its board of directors: Margy Imlay, CMF and Richard W. Todd, COF.
Imlay is owner and president of Just Like a Woman, a mastectomy, maternity and specialty retail boutique in Portland, Oregon. She is also a consultant and instructor for OandPEdu, where she is the principal instructor for hands-on mastectomy fitter classes around the country. A graduate of North Texas State University, she has authored and edited articles on women’s wellness for Harcourt/Mosby, a publisher of textbooks and academic journals.
Todd has worked in the orthopedic field for nearly 30 years and has extensive experience in retail sales, operations and manufacturing, as well as in patient care. Currently, he is the owner and managing partner of Collier Orthotics and Prosthetics, KneedABrace Inc. and Comfort Sleeves, with retail locations in Sacramento and Pleasant Hills, California.
The BOC board of directors is responsible for the organization’s vision, setting its mission and goals, developing its plans, overseeing its activities, managing BOC resources and maintaining the organization’s integrity and stature. Underlying all their duties is the recognition by every board member of the importance of the ongoing role that BOC professionals and facilities play in patients’ lives.
“Margy and Richard will be tremendous assets for the BOC Board and the communities we serve,” says BOC Board Chair L. Bradley “Brad” Watson, BOCO, BOCP, LPO. “Both are extremely well-respected in their fields and I look forward to working with them.”
