The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) has two new Directors on its Board. The newly elected Board Directors are:
- Rod Borkowski, General Manager, Health Essentials
- Brad Watson, BOCPO, Clarksville Limb and Brace and Rehab, Inc.
Borkowski is General Manager of Health Essentials in Costa Mesa, California. Health Essentials provides durable medical equipment (DME) to patients in their homes and in nursing and assisted living facilities. He has been involved with nearly 30 facilities during his career in DME, ensuring compliance and best business practices. Rod noted, “I am looking forward to contributing on a national scale to a field that helps provide opportunities for quality of life and / or greater independence. To me, that’s what it’s all about.”
A second generation BOC Orthotist and Prosthetist, Watson has been in the industry for more than 20 years. He is involved with the operation of four patient facilities and helps to service six hospitals and four clinics throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. Of the orthotics and prosthetics industry, he said, “I love experiencing all the highs and lows, weathering the storms, learning about the newest devices, and understanding the latest regulations.”
“It is clear that both new Board members enjoy what they do and share BOC’s commitment to quality patient care and positive outcomes,” said Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, President and CEO.
