The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is now accepting nominations for its board of directors. The deadline for nominations is July 31, 2017.
Nominees should have a desire to take an active role in defining the future of BOC, an award-winning, independent nonprofit committed to excellence in patient care since 1984. Board members are required to participate in four board meetings annually. Each director serves a four-year term with an option to run for a second consecutive term.
The BOC board of directors is responsible for the organization’s vision, setting its goals, developing its plans, overseeing its activities, managing BOC resources and maintaining the organization’s integrity and stature. Underlying all their duties is the recognition by every board member of the importance of the ongoing role that BOC-certified professionals and BOC-accredited facilities play in patients’ lives.
